I work from my studio, Ceramics at the Annexe, tucked up a little lane in the back garden of my house in Forres.

I have come to ceramics fairly late in life, discovering a passion for hand-building in clay, using coils, slabs and pinching to create tactile sculptural pieces.

I find the coast in Moray a huge source of inspiration, the changing light, the textures and colours of the stones and woods, the rolling farmlands.

I am excited to experiment with smoke and pit firing to create unpredictable finishes.  I have also recently been drawn to work with raku firing using matt patinas.

The studio is open during the North East Open Studios event otherwise by appointment only.
